Civic Pride Parade
Episode 26
Season 1, 1984

Introducing: --

Kid loves his sundaes. He especially loves them heavy on the marshmallows. But that’s not our plot (sorry, Kid!).

The city is having a parade to show civic pride, and KI might enter a float. Trouble is, they can’t come up with one unified idea as to what to do. Everyone's got their own idea - except Renee, she has echolalia for some reason. Before Kid can get his sundae, they drag him off to the next number.

Kid is still trying to get his sundae that he ordered earlier. Sadly, Riley informs him that the freezer broke, and his sundae is ruined. He has a very interesting reaction…

Meanwhile, the kids are arguing about building materials in addition to theme. Renee tries to hold everyone together, but they eventually blow up and storm off to build individual floats. This sends Renee to…uh… where is she??? Maybe Vong left her a Fortress of Solitude or something.

Renee returns in time for everyone to find her and display their horrible handiwork.
No one’s float is in parade condition, and they’re all bummed, until she reminds them they still have time to work together.

Just as Kids Inc. finishes their new, 5-person float, Riley arrives with a brand new marshmallow-heavy sundae for The Kid.
BUT…he can’t eat it now, the parade is starting!

It’s off to the parade for the final number, and everyone loves it.

A pretty good episode to end the season with. I'm gonna go ahead and give it 5 mics for the humor, the music, and the moral wasn't that heavy.

I just think it should have been Renee singing on the float, since she was the one who tried to get everyone working together...oh, well, we had that neat futuristic-set-thingy number.
