Some Interesting Facts:

Some of these things have now been labeled mistakes.

In "When Movies Were Movies" (Episode 74, Season 4, 1987), the movie The Kid wants to see is called "The Monster Squad that Ate Texas". Sounds remarkably like the movie that Ryan co-starred in. Can you say, "Plug"?

In "Runaway Stacy"(50-2-8 5), Renee reminds Stacy of the line, "There's no place like home." I hope she remembers, cause she"s bound to repeat it in her school's revamped version of The Wizard of Oz (53-3-86).

One of the names that Mickey tries out for the band, "Vanilla Fudge", is the name of an actual band (8-1-84).

Culture Club must have been really popular in KI's town. When The Kid is afraid to go on a camping trip (19-1-84), Stacy hypnotizes him with a Boy George necklace. Later, when he finds out Stacy is upset about not being able to bring a bunny home (50-2-85), he teases her with his own rendition of "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" (Do You Really Want a Bunny)

Remember when Renee was talking about being named after her great aunt? (78-4-87) Well, I looked up the name "Renee" in one of those name books once, and it literally means "reborn". Spooky, huh?

Actors who keep coming back:

The bully that The Kid makes fun of (4-1-84) fronts a band called The Interns, under the stage name Dr. Dude (37-2-85)

The leprechaun that only Stacy and The Kid can see (12-1-84) was previously an alien bent on taking Renee back home with him as a science project (11-1-84).

Jade Calgory, who really is in a wheelchair, sits in for a guitarist (86-5-88) and then comes back as a guy who likes Ana (140-9-93).

Ruth Buzzi appears both as a tap dancing, trombone-playing homeless woman (45-2-85), and Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother (93 -6-89).

I was right; the girl Richie ran against for class president (85-5-88) is also 1/2 of the duo behind Devyn's short-lived solo career (94-6-89).

For those of you who continued to watch into the 8th season, did you happen to catch who Jared's ballet teacher (138-8-92) actually was?
**Ok, in case I confused you - it was Wendy.

I should also point out that her character on the show was named Dorain after KI's real choreographer. Dorain was also the name of one of the three girls Eric inadvertently dated at the same time (107-7-91)

Now, here's an interesting fact some of you may not have caught. You know the line in the KI theme song that goes, "All around the nation, we're the new sensation..."? Well, if you ever watched Great Pretenders (and I'd bet anything their main audience was us people in our late 20's) then you've probably made out the line in the theme song that goes: "You're the new sensation, all across the nation..." Coincidence??? Hmm...
